C. T. Lowndes & Company the title sponsor for Sertoma Football Classic 2012

C. T. Lowndes & Company is proud to report that the independent insurance agency has once again agreed to be the title sponsor of the Sertoma High School Football Classic to be held August 16 and 17 at Johnson Hagood Stadium on the campus of the Citadel. In fact, the agency has signed a three contract with The Sertoma Club of Charleston and will be the title sponsor of the Classic in 2012, 1013, and 2014.

 

The kickoff event of the 2012 Classic was the Coach’s Party which was held at Velocity Sports in Mt. Pleasant on May 22. It is at this event that the game match ups were announced.

 

The sponsorship of the Sertoma Football Classic is the agency’s way of giving back the community in which the agency has done business since 1850. “It is just a natural fit,” said Billy Silcox, an agency owner, “All the owners have been involved in helping youth throughout their lives. Henry Lowndes was a long time member of the Optimist Club of Charleston and a little league baseball, football, and girls’ softball coach. I was the tennis coach at the College of Charleston for many years before I entered the insurance business and am now a volunteer tennis coach at the College. Both my sons, Bill and Chris, are agency owners and have coached little league soccer teams.”
